Hola Avarcas!

We are very excited about the newest addition to the Izzy and Jean Co. range. Avarcas, also known as Albarcas o Menorquinas is the traditional footwear from the island of Menorca in Spain.

Originally, the sole of the avarcas were made from recycled tires. Nowadays, they are made with lightweight rubber molds, but they retain the essence of the original Menorcan avarcas which were first worn by countrymen and farmers.

Avarcas sandals caught on around the world because of their quality, style and simplicity. Even the Spanish Royal Family wear them!

Due to their popularity, imitation brands began to pop up, and a stamp of authenticity was introduced. The 'Product of Menorca' stamp signifies the highest quality standards and authenticity of the avarca sandal.

Avarcas Pons is a family owned business in Ciutadella who have been making avarcas since 1945. Now in the third generation of shoemakers, they proudly continue the family tradition and display the 'Product of Menorca' stamp.

We are lucky enough to be able to bring Avarcas Pons sandals to you, just in time for summer.

The Classic style avarcas are available for Men, Women and Kids in a range of colours.

This is the strappy version of the Classic womens avarca.

They also come in metallics!

For very little feet, the Frailera avarcas have a velcro strap.

Dress them up or dress them down.

Take a look at the Avarcas Pons range. Because our avarcas ship directly from the supplier, please allow 6-10 business days for delivery.

Our usual 30 day returns policy stills applies, and you will only incur the cost of returning them to Izzy and Jean Co. in New Zealand.

For purchases of three pairs or more, GST may be charged by customs. You are responsible for any GST applied.
